Quarter to Semester Transition
Pledge to Students
In the Fall of 2012, Antioch University Midwest will transition from a quarter-based academic calendar to a semester-based academic calendar. The faculty, staff, and administration of Antioch University Midwest will work with each student to ensure that you are able to maintain, monitor and plan your academic progress, before, during and after the quarter to semester conversion.
We would like to assure you that the transition will not adversely affect your credits toward your degree. Time to graduation will be mutually agreed upon by you and the chair of your academic program. It is essential that you uphold your responsibilities to develop an academic path with your adviser and follow through on its completion. We will provide timely curricular information, academic calendars and schedules for 2011-2012 , 2012-2013, and 2013-2014, semester and quarter course equivalencies, and allowable substitutions so that students and their advisers can create a plan.
You must meet with your assigned academic adviser, jointly create an individual advising plan and successfully complete the academic requirements following the timeline in the plan. AUM will not be responsible for this commitment for students who do not have an approved degree completion plan (DCP) or who do not demonstrate a good-faith effort to complete the requirements of the DCP in the agreed-upon timeline.
