Do you want to make a difference in the healthcare system?

Antioch University Midwest offers two pathways for students interested in changing American healthcare through patient advocacy:

Option OneProfessional Certificate

Students who want to gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this field can enroll in our year-long Professional Certificate in Healthcare Consumer Advocacy/Patient Navigation. This cohort-based program prepares students to help patients and their families navigate the public and private healthcare system and obtain the care that they need. The certificate program is open to individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree and have previous healthcare knowledge and experience as professionals or caregivers. Information and admissions requirements for the certificate may be found here.

Option TwoA Master’s degree plus a Professional Certificate

Students interested in earning a graduate degree while also completing the Healthcare Consumer Advocacy/Patient Navigation program may do so through our low-residency Individualized Master of Arts (IMA) with a concentration in the Social Sciences. Students must apply to and meet admissions requirements for both programs. Information and admissions requirements for the IMA program may be found here.
